For purposes of this certification, 'known and suspected areas of concern" only include those areas where some evidence of a disposal or spill has occurred such as soil staining, or other visual evidence of spillage, reported spills, known tank leaks, and other similar such data. For purposes of this certification, "known and suspected contaminants"shall include all contaminants known to have been spilled, disposed, or otherwise discharged in a known or suspected area of concern and any degradation products of those contaminants. Where information is limited on the specific compounds discharged, laboratory analytical methods must at a minimum include GUMS analysis for volatile and semi -volatile organic compounds, and analysis for hazardous substance list metals. This certification is based on a records review and is not a certification of the accuracy of the fads asserted in documents prepared by others. I have found the sampling and analytical methods to he consistent with the nature and type of contamination known or suspected to be present at the site. All suspect areas and known and suspected contaminants have been adequately investigated based on available documentation. This certification does not rely on any information I have found to be in error. All contaminated groundwater, soil, surface water, and sediment at the site has been treated or removed so that no known hazardous substances or non -petroleum, non -biological contamination remains in excess of the current Inactive Hazardous Sites Branch (1) protection of groundwater criteria for soils, (2) direct contact remediation goals for soils for unrestricted use, and (3) remediation goals for groundwater, surface water and sediment (reference Inactive Hazardous Sites Program Guidelines for Assessment and Cleanup for remediation goals).
