Both are currently zoned for business, and her intent is to petition the County for rezoning to a residential district. The two (2) parcels would be recombined, as shown on the attached sketch, but remain two (2) individual home lots. This is a notice of a community information meeting related to that rezoning request. Your property is located within a 500’ perimeter of the lots. The petition would support the change from the current Highway Business (B-2) district to a Residential (R-5) district. The meeting is an opportunity for further explanation of the proposal and for questions to be answered concerning project improvements, benefits and impacts. A Conditional Zoning District in New Hanover County allows particular uses to be established only in accordance with specific standards and conditions pertaining to each individual development project & rezoning petition. Essentially, this means that only the specific use(s) and the proposed site improvements of an approved petition can be developed. An information meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 25th, 6:00 p.m., at the Dinkins Guesthouse, 1124 Seabreeze Road S.
