Planning
1. Did Love issue the Tree Removal Permit for this site? I don’t see one in our system or in the
folder – I can process it I just want to make sure that we don’t charge you twice.
Response: We have received the tree removal permit.
2. On the landscaping plan, I noticed the note of 68 trees provided for parking lot landscaping –
this can get tricky.
a. Trees retained on site do not county towards parking lot landscaping unless they are in or
around the perimeter of the parking lot. It doesn’t look like that’s the case on this site.
Response: We have added additional trees and are no longer using existing trees for
this calculation.
b. Are the calculations including the trees that are used towards street yard?
Response: Yes.
c. There may be some other places to plant trees to meet the requirement, mainly the sodded
areas around the perimeter of the parking lot.
Response: We have added additional trees in these areas.
3. Foundation plantings – calculations are okay, it looks like they’re being shown on the southern
facing side of the building but not on the east or west, unless they are what’s shown in the
parking lot islands? We don’t permit that for foundation plantings. It has to be between the
building and the parking lot.
Response: Foundation plantings have been added in between the building and the
parking lot. Refer to Sheet C6.0.

Fire
4. Everything looks fine to me with the exception of their response to #5) Construction and
Demolition… they’re showing adherence to Chapter 33 of the CFPUA Technical
Specifications… it’s actually Chapter 33 of the Fire Code.
Not a big deal – nothing to require a re-submit
Response: Noted.
