I have emailed Frank White with NCDOT asking what he needs…..believe usually they just need a site plan to
update their file.
I have asked the wetland consultant to reach out to the Corps of Engineers…..we got a wetland permit for Phase
I….no other wetlands were impacted during construction of Phase I or will they be impacted for Phase II.

Alright then, no tree removal permit is required. I will keep this email thread in the file for documentation purposes.
The other comments for TRC are still outstanding.

There were no regulated trees within the disturbed limits….that is why no trees were shown

Okay, it’s possible that I’m missing a document then- the revised site plans include an existing conditions sheet
but there is no tree survey sheet that I have seen. I have the tree report, but that just has the chart showing
size/species of those retained for the 15 trees/acre requirement.
Is there a tree survey sheet that I’m missing?

The tree survey said there weren’t any regulated trees within the disturbed limits. We were wanting to get credit for
the other trees to make up for the 15 trees per acre that are needed for the area disturbed.

Hey Mark,
I understand that, but the tree survey for retention does note that there are trees onsite that would be regulated,
which is often representative of the site as a whole. I know these are for retention so that is okay, but did the survey
indicate that all of the trees being removed in the area for the laydown yard would be unregulated?
If there are no regulated trees being removed then you don’t need a tree removal permit, but I just want to make
sure that is documented correctly for the file.

There are no regulated trees being removed….that is the reason for “0” inches.
All the trees are small

Hey Mark,
Couple of questions/outstanding comments:
Planning:
1. Really the only thing that we needed to move forward on for this was with the Tree Removal Permit. The
report from Bartlett looks good, but on the permit itself it lists that there are 0 inches of trees being
removed. Is this a typo?
NCDOT:
1. We would ask that they update/revise the NCDOT driveway permit to update the permit and site plan. The
applicant can reach out to Frank Mike fwmike@ncdot.gov
Army Corps of Engineers:
1. Again, the wetland delineaƟon does not match our records. It appears the project has already impacted
wetlands.
2. It would be wise for the applicant engage the Corps to see if we can determine the discrepancy or pursue
necessary aŌer the fact permiƫng.
