I. Call to Order–Travis Corpening called the meeting to order at 4:11 pm. Quorum established.
II. Approve Agenda –Linda Thomas motioned to approve the agenda; J’vanete Skiba, seconded. Motion
passed unanimously.
III. Approve Minutes –Bernice Johnson previous meeting minutes; Sandra Oglesby, seconded. Motion
passed unanimously.
IV. Public Comments – None

Old Business–
A. Committee Reports (Chairs) -
a. Cemetery – Deborah Maxwell: Update on historic markers. Travis Gilbert will
speak with us in May. Update: None.
b. Museum – Cameron Arts Museum/ Shared PPT/Nov 13, 2021 unveiling new
artwork. The men who fought at Forks Road. April 24, 2021 Virtual telethon
fundraiser. Seeking $ 75,000.00.

c. Education – J’vanete Skiba and Sandra will meet 3/12 at 1:00 regarding PDF for
word puzzle. Digital workbook which can be distributed to community.
d. Outreach –No update.
e. Kudos to Jan.
B. Research – Sandra: None.
C. Committee Next Meeting Dates
a. 3/12 @ 1:00. Sending out link to everyone if they would like to join.

A. Green book: Partnering with CFCC to show the film via drive thru event at the Wilson
Center.
B. Jan: Webinar with Elizabeth Dorsey spoke about Museum story month. 240 people
attended. Sending email. Link sent in chat to Diversity and Equity page.
C. J’vanete Skiba: Flipping the conversation: 3/12 @ 8 a.m. 3/13 @ 12:30 p.m.(Bilingual).
