Travis – Explained that it may be a good idea to have a video for people/tourist who may not
have access to the brochure; he showed us the video
Jan – Suggested to edit the brochure to use “New Hanover County” instead of “Wilmington”
for branding being that the commission is a county commission who reports county history
Van – Suggested if we do a booklet to do it digitally so it can be updated easier and print the
booklet/brochure ever-so often to accommodate updates (i.e every 3 months)
Veronica – Motioned to “start with trifold brochure with the history of NHC to go out as
volume 1 announcing the electronic booklet to go out in the future” (motion was not
seconded)
Van – Asked Travis how much is set aside in the budget. Travis stated he knows the county’s
budget/range but not the specifics to this committee at this time.
o Van suggested to create a 5 x 7 postcard with the website and QR code in an effort to
use funds in the budget before the fiscal year ends
o Jan – Suggested that the purpose of the commission be on the postcard; Deborah
suggested we edit the purpose so that it fits on the postcard and is not too wordy
