NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NEW HANOVER COUNTY PLANNING BOARD
April 3rd, 2025
Rezoning Request – (Z25-04 – Middle Sound Loop Straight Rezoning) – Request by Cindee Wolf with Design
Solutions, applicant, on behalf of Terry Dean, Rita English, Justin Slack, and Martin Pollack, property owners, to
rezone two parcels totaling approximately 1.94 acres located at 1609 and 1617 Middle Sound Loop Road from the
R-20S, Residential district to a general use R-20, Residential district.
This petition will be considered by the New Hanover County Planning Board at a public hearing on Thursday, April
3rd 2025 beginning at 6:00 p.m. or thereafter at the New Hanover County Historic Courthouse, located at 24
North Third Street, Room 301 (corner of Third and Princess Street) in Wilmington, NC.
Since this notice is sent only to property owners within 500 feet of the parcel boundary of the proposed project,
please discuss it with other residents who may be interested. Anyone wishing to be heard on this matter should
appear at the public hearing or arrange to be represented.
Typically, a total of fifteen (15) minutes will be allocated for all of those wishing to speak in favor of the request,
and another fifteen (15) minutes for those opposed to the request. Following this thirty-minute period, an
additional five minutes for each side may be allowed for rebuttal statements. After the hearing, the Planning
Board will close the public comment period and vote on the request.

https://www.nhcgov.com/1105/Public-Comment-Form by Thursday, April 3rd, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. Written
comments will be provided to the board and board chair will acknowledge receipt during the public hearing or
submit comments into the record during the public hearing and/or public comment period.
