The 2024 New Hanover County Special Board of Equalizatfon and Review met on Tuesday, April 23, 2024,
at 9:00 a.m. in the New Hanover County Government Center, 230 Government Center Drive, Wilmington,
North Carolina. The purpose of the meetfng was to convene the 2024 Special Board of Equalizatfon &
Review.
Chairman Hector Ingram called the meetfng to order at 9:00 a.m.
Members present:
Hector Ingram (Chair) Brad White, Chris Stewart, Mike Musselwhite, Fred Gainey, Clayton
Hamerski, Jason Colclough and Ida Smith.
Staff present:
Asst. Tax Administrator Chris Boney, Asst. Tax Administrator Scott Saunders, Appraisal Manager
Bob Kovar, Appraisers Bill Jones, Chris Horn, Eileen Haley and Jamaica Lemons, and Fiscal Support
Specialist Michelle Martfn.
Motion #1: Convene.
Motfon to convene the 2024 Special Board of Equalizatfon and Review:
Motfon made by Brad White.
Second to motfon was made by Fred Gainey.
Motfon Carries: 8 in favor/0 opposed.
Motion #2: Co-Chair.
Motfon to select Co-Chair of the 2024 Special Board of Equalizatfon and Review:
Motfon made by Brad White to select Mike Musselwhite as Co-Chair.
Second to motfon was made by Fred Gainey.
Motfon Carries: 8 in favor/0 opposed.
Motion #3: Recess.
Motfon to recess the April 23, 2024, Special Board of Equalizatfon and Review:
Motfon made by Brad White.
Second to motfon was made Chris Stewart.
Motfon Carries: 8 in favor/0 opposed.
The 2024 Special Board of Equalizatfon and Review recessed at 11:15am and will remain in recess untfl
9:00am May 14, 2024.
