HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-11-24 BOER MINUTES (1) (1)ASSEMBLY The 2024 New Hanover County Board of Equalization and Review met on Thursday June 11, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. Conference Room 139 of the New Hanover County Government Center, 230 Government Center Drive, Wilmington, North Carolina. The purpose of the meeting was to hear appeals by property owners regarding their 2024 tax value assessments. Members present for the session were: Hector Ingram (Chairman), Chris Stewart, Brad White, Jason Colclough, Clayton Hamerski, and Ida Smith. Staff members present were Tax Administrator Allison Snell, Asst. Tax Administrator Chris Boney, Appraisal Manager Bob Kovar, Appraisal Supervisor Michelle Babson, Appraisers Chris Horn, Bill Jones, Jamaica Lemons, and Eileen Haley and Fiscal Support Specialist Michelle Martin. Chairman Hector Ingram called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. Agenda item #1: Approval of Minutes   Brad White MOVED, SECONDED by Clayton Hamerski the motion carried 6 to 0.   Agenda Item #2: Old Business None Agenda item #3: Hearings from Appellants 9 AM / / Chris Stewart MOVED, SECONDED by Jason Colclough to Uphold Recommended Value @ $177,400 the motion carried 6 to 0. // Chris Stewart MOVED, SECONDED by Brad White to Uphold Recommended Value @ $1,700 the motion carried 6 to 0. Agenda item #4: Withdrew for 9 AM None Agenda item #5: Failed to show for 9 AM / Chris Stewart MOVED, SECONDED by Clayton Hamerski to Uphold Recommended Values for tab #’s 1,2, and 3 the motion carried 6 to 0. Agenda item #6: Hearings from Appellants 1 PM None Agenda item #7: Affirmation of the Following Signed and Agreed to Values / Clayton Hamerski MOVED, SECONDED by Chris Stewart to Uphold Recommended Values for affirmation agreed to values the motion carried 6 to 0. Agenda item #8: New Business None Agenda item #9: Recess There being no further business to consider, Chairman Hector Ingram asked for a motion to recess.
