The 2016 New Hanover County Board of Equalization and Review met on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. in the Lucille Harrell Conference Room of the New Hanover County Government
Center, 230 Government Center Drive, Wilmington, North Carolina. The purpose of the meeting was to hear appeals by property owners regarding their 2016 tax value assessments.
Members present for the session were: Robert Glasgow (Chairman), Nancy Pritchett, Charles Davis, Paul Magnabosco and (Vice Chairman) James Brumit.
Staff members present were: Assistant Tax Administrator Scott Saunders, Appraisal Supervisor James Paulk, Listing Supervisor Deanna Cochran, Appraisers Steve Walker and Eric Davis
and Appraisal Administrative Support Technician Juanita Wallace.
Chairman Robert Glasgow called the meeting to order at 9:10 a.m.
AGENDA ITEM # 1: Approval of Minutes
Chairman Robert Glasgow asked for motion to approve minutes. Nancy Pritchett moved; seconded by Charles Davis, the motion carried 5 to 0.
AGENDA ITEM # 2: Old Business
No old business was discussed. Chairman Robert Glasgow asked for motion to excuse Campbell Dodd & Hector Ingram from today’s meeting. Charles Davis moved; seconded by Paul Magnabosco,
the motion carried 5 to 0.
AGENDA ITEM # 3: Affirmation of the Following Signed and Agreed to Values
Chairman Robert Glasgow asked for a motion to accept the signed and agreed to values. He had Tab 01 R02700-001-042-000 Wooten, Elizabeth 6821 Wild Magnolia Rd. Wilmington read into
the record, who was scheduled to be heard but, consented & signed to the new tax value of $37,100 last night. James Brumit moved; seconded by Nancy Pritchett, the motion carried 5
to 0.
AGENDA ITEM # 4: Tax Appeal Presentations 9:00 AM Session
The Board heard appeal presentations from the following individuals regarding the 2016 tax assessment of real & business/personal property. Each appellant was informed that the Board
would make decisions following the hearings and they would be notified by mail of the Board’s decision in ten days.

Chairman Robert Glasgow asked if there was any new business. Appraisal Supervisor James Paulk stated we may have 1 discovery real property appeal. Listing Supervisor Deanna Cochran
will coordinate any business/personal property appeals with the discovery real property and Board Members will be informed of future schedule date by Juanita.
