HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-05-2017 BOER MINUTESASSEMBLY The 2017 New Hanover County Board of Equalization and Review met on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Lucie Harrell Conference Room of the New Hanover County Government Center, 230 Government Center Drive, Wilmington, North Carolina. The purpose of the meeting was to hear appeals by property owners regarding their 2017 tax value assessments. Members present for the session were: Chairman Paul Magnabosco, Nancy Pritchett, Brad White and, Fred Gainey. Staff members present were: Asst. Tax Administrators Lawana Schulze & Scott Saunders, Appraisers Steve Walker, Heather Haas and Chris Horn, Administrative Support Secretaries Michelle Martin and Juanita Wallace. Chairman Paul Magnabosco called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. AGENDA ITEM # 1: Approval of Minutes Approval of November 28, 2017 minutes. Brad White MOVED, SECONDED by Nancy Pritchett to approve minutes the motion carried 4 to 0. AGENDA ITEM # 2: Old Business None AGENDA ITEM # 2B: Take agenda items out of order Chairman Paul Magnabosco asked for motion to take agenda items out of due to weather to allow appellants time to arrive. Fred Gainey Moved; Seconded by Nancy Pritchett to take agenda out of order. Upon vote, the motion carried 4 to 0.
