Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 1. Treasurer’s Report. Spero provided an update of the financials as of August 31st. We received a total of $900 from food truck vendor registrations. Expenses totaled $34 due to business registration fees from the online giving website. The net income for August was $868 leaving us with a balance of $51,939. 2. Director’s Report. Tara shared that the BMX event has been canceled. The person who was to lead us in putting on this event is unable to participate. Disappointed but hope we can do something in the future. Will circulate an update via email regarding another family friendly BMX event. We are working with other departments to get trees for the FEMA properties the county owns in order to make them more functional. Jodi and Janine will begin applying for grants to obtain trees and landscape material. We would like to plant the parcels to help absorb water and will be working with the planning department to do this in the next year. 3. Development Committee. Mark Ihnat talked about having community nights at restaurants, which he hopes to do quarterly. Hopefully can do something in October since we are not having the BMX event. 4. Food Truck Rodeo Update. The Food Truck Rodeo will take place on Sunday, November 3rd. Cheryl shared that the amount of vendors participating in the rodeo has been narrowed down to 30 out of the 59 that initially inquired. Feel that we will have a good variety of trucks.
