EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
March 24, 2022

Kim Hufham – President/CEO

Board Chairman Jason Bryant called the Executive Committee Meeting to order at
3:30 via WebEx conference call.
ITEM I: APPROVAL OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MINUTES: - Jason
Bryant

unanimously accepted to approve the January 21, 2022, Executive
Committee minutes.\]
ITEM II: BUDGET AMENDMENT DISCUSSION- New Airline Service
Marketing – Kim Hufham
The TDA has been approached by the NHC Airport Authority to
market in the new market once a new airline carrier is secured.
The marketing campaign will be driven by the marketing team at the
CVB. The details as to where and how is the market identified was
discussed. Jason asked why we haven’t been asked to support
the NHC Airport Authority before now. It is partly driven by Jeff
Rourk, the new director initiative. Kim asked several of her
counterparts in other CVBs, if they had partnered with their airports.
Cabarrus County had not. Greenville/Pitt County had partnered with
their airport. The one reason that this is now possible is due to the
healthy fund balance and the NHC TDA board wanted to see part of
the excess used within NHC county. What, how and where questions
will be answered when the NHC Airport Authority secures a
new low-cost airline carrier.

ITEM III: 2022 TDA Officers- Kim Hufman
President- Nicole Jones
Vice- President- Angela Rhodes
Secretary- vacant
Treasurer- Lisa Wurtzbacher
Jason Bryant will be resigning after the March NHC TDA Board
Meeting. Chuck Pennington has sold The Verandas Bed & Breakfast
as of May 11, 2022. The discussion was started who to ask to fill the
vacancies on the board and the secretary executive position. Hap
Fatzinger and Tom Ullring were brought up as possibilities.
ITEM IV: BOARD GOVERNANCE- Kim Hufham
Don Anderson will lead the Governance Session with the Board of
Directors. The presentation will be 45 minutes highlighting the
Strategic Plan summary. He outlines the job responsibilities of the
board members and how they can be more effective part of the NHC
TDA board.
ITEM V: OLD/ NEW BUSINESS- Jason Bryant
ITEM VI: ADJOURNMENT- Jason Bryant
As there was no further business, meeting adjourned at 4:30pm.
