Services Manager/Recording Secretary Linda Brothers – Senior Financial Analyst, NHC NHC TDA Board Chairman Nicole Jones called the Executive Committee Meeting to order at 10 o’clock. The virtual WebEx meeting was initiated at the offices of the CVB. ITEM I: APPROVAL OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MINUTES- January 18, 2023 \[Motion made by Tom Ullring, seconded by Angela Rhodes and unanimously accepted to approve the January 18, 2023, Executive Committee minutes.\] ITEM II: ARRIVALIST PROPOSAL DISCUSSION- Kim Hufham This is a onetime report using the data from the year 2022. This was a banner year for ROT collections and the airport. This will help answer the question “Where people are going upon arrival at ILM Airport”. The data will include New Hanover, Brunswick, and Pender counties. The deliverables: number of visits, origin market, snapshot of year. The cost will be $10,000. The CVB hopes to partnership with the airport to share the cost. ITEM III: RESOLUTION HB 524 PROCLAMATION -Kim Hufham Representative David Rouzer is sponsoring HB 524. This bill creates an exemption to the restriction on the use of federal funds for certain shoreline borrow sites within the Coastal Barrier Resources System. 1 Specifically, the restriction shall not apply to funds to use a borrow site located within the system if it has been in use as a borrow site by a coastal storm risk management project for more than 15 years. ITEM IV: EXECUTIVE BOARD OFFICERS NOMINATION- Kim Hufham Slate Of Officers: Chairman: Nicole Jones Vice-Chairman: Tom Ullring Treasurer: Eric Credle Secretary: Angela Rhodes ITEM V: OLD/NEW BUSINESS- Kim Hufham  Destination Development Association is the company that will conduct the Riverwalk assessment. It will cost $26,500 and doesn’t need a budget amendment. They will conduct this assessment over 5 days in-person in the first week of May. Their study will include the team conducting secret shoppers’ visits to local businesses, walking the riverwalk. They will present the findings to the CVB the last day of their study.  The Wrightsville Beach hotel board representative hasn’t been advertised because Mary Baggett is still unreachable to submit a resignation.
