Public Special Meeting to order at 4 o’clock at the 12 floor Conference Room in the
Skyline Center Building.
ITEM #1 – EXCUSED – NICOLE JONES
The following were excused Hap Fatzinger, Nicolas Montoya, Ross Pitman, LeAnn
Pierce.
ITEM #2 – CVB OFFICES RELOCATION- KIM HUFHAM
Chairman Nicole Jones opened the special meeting concerning the CVB office relocation
to the City of Wilmington Skyline Center on March 1, 2024, and the financial needs.

Kim Hufham gave an overview of the reason for the move due to the Wilmington
Chamber of Commerce expansion to move into our current offices. Kim has met with the
City of Wilmington officials and viewing possible space in the Skyline Center.
Kim Hufham discussed the following points about the possibility of new offices:
· Square foot increase of 2107 sq ft. Current space in 2800 – new space 4907
· Upfits would include:
o Reception & lobby area
o Conference room (large enough to hold TDA meetings on site)
o Office space
o Storage space
A copy of the estimated cost breakdown is attached.
ITEM #3 – BUDGET AMENDMENT
BA#2024-03-003- to appropriate expenditures associated with the move to the
City of Wilmington Skyline Center. This will cover the needed upfits needed in
the offices in the Wilmington Skyline Center as well as moving cost.
\[A motion made by Tom Ullring and seconded by Zeke Partin unanimously
accepted the Budget Amendment BA#2024-003 in the amount of $261,115 as
presented\]
