PUBLIC HEARING AND FORMAL BUDGET ADOPTION

Chairman Nicole Jones called the New Hanover County Tourism Development Authority
Public Hearing and Formal Budget Adoption to order at 5:00 p.m. at the Chamber of
Wilmington and Wilmington and Beaches CVB’s offices.
ITEM #1 – EXCUSED – NICOLE JONES
The following were excused Zach Brigman, LeAnn Pierce, Tom Ullring.
ITEM #2 – PUBLIC HEARING
Chairman Nicole Jones opened the public hearing on the 2023-2024 budget ordinance.
As no one had signed up to speak, the Chairman asked for a motion to close the public
hearing.

\[Motion made by Craig Bloszinsky seconded by Lynn Barbee and
unanimously approved to close the public hearing.\]
ITEM #3 - ADOPTION OF FY 2023-2024 BUDGET ORDINANCE
Chairman Nicole Jones called for the Board’s adoption of the formal budget ordinance
for FY 2023/2024.
\[Motion made by Zeke Partin and seconded by Lynn Barbee and unanimously
carried to adopt the formal budget ordinance for FY 2023/2024 in the amount of
$12,925,693. A copy of the ordinance is in the Resolution/Ordinance book dated
as of March 2011.\]
A copy of the FY2023/2024 NHC TDA Budget is in Exhibit Book XIII.
There being no further business to come before the Board, a motion was made to adjourn
the meeting at 5:05 p.m.
NOTE: Our next TDA Board Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 30, 2023.
