NEW HANOVER COUNTY TOURISM DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
March 19, 2024
PRESENT: Nicole Jones – Chairman
Kim Hufham – President/CEO
Tom Ullring -Vice- Chairman
Angela Rhodes– Secretary
Eric Credle- Treasurer/NHC CFO
STAFF: Kim Little - Admin. Services Manager/Recording Secretary
Linda Brothers – Senior Financial Analyst, NHC
NHC TDA Board Chairman Nicole Jones called the Executive Committee Meeting
to order at 2:00 pm. The virtual WebEx meeting was initiated at the offices of the
CVB.
ITEM I: APPROVAL OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MINUTES- December
15, 2023: - Nicole Jones
\[Motion made by Angela Rhodes, seconded by Tom Ullring and
unanimously accepted to approve the December 15, 2023, by Executive
Committee minutes.\]
ITEM II: CVB Update - Kim Hufham
The organization that has been chosen to conduct the county-wide
Tourism Master Plan is Clarity of Place an expert consulting firm with
experience in destination planning across the U.S. They will begin in June
2024.
ARPA Funds: The Wilmington City Council has issued with a couple of
suggestions from the Riverwalk Committee. Kim Hufham will present to
the City Council during their working budget session.
CVB Upfit progress: We are waiting for the permits to be completed for
Thomas Construction to begin.
Legislative Breakfast is scheduled for April 16, 2024, held at Embassy
Suites. Thanks to Zach Brigman

ITEM III: Nomination of New Officers:
Tom Ullring- Chairman
Angela Rhodes – Vice-Chairman
Eric Credle – Treasurer
Secretary position is open. Nicole Jones will reach out to Lynn Barbee or LeAnn
Pierce to see if they are willing to serve as Secretary. Once this is confirmed, the
recommended slate of officers will be prepared for approval at the March NHC
TDA Meeting.
