HomeMy WebLinkAboutTDA Executive Board meeting March 24 2025 NEW HANOVER COUNTY TOURISM DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING March 24, 2025 PRESENT: Tom Ullring – Chairman Kim Hufham – President/CEO Angela Rhodes -Vice- Chairman Eric Credle- Treasurer/NHC CFO Nicole Jones- Past President Lynn Barbee– Secretary STAFF: Kim Little - Admin. Services Manager/Recording Secretary Linda Brothers – Senior Financial Analyst, NHC NHC TDA Board Chairman Tom Ullring called the Executive Committee Meeting to order at 3:00 pm. The virtual WebEx meeting was initiated at the offices of the CVB. ITEM I: APPROVAL OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MINUTES- October 24, 2024– Tom Ullring \[Motion made by Lynn Barbee, seconded by Angela Rhodes and unanimously accepted to approve October 24, 2025, by Executive Committee minutes.\] ITEM II: SLATE OF OFFICERS DISCUSSION- Kim Hufham Kim Hufham stated due to NHC TDA By-Laws that Angela Rhodes has served her limit on the NHC TDA Executive Committee. With Angela Rhodes vacating the Vice-Chairman position Lynn Barbee will move into that position. Tom Ullring will remain as Chairman. Eric Credle will remain in Treasurer position per the enabling legislation. Discussion narrows the list for the Secretary position to Zach Brigman, Ross Pitman, LeAnn Pierce. Tom Ullring will contact the nominees and let Kim, and the executive board know who accepts. 1 The 2025 NHC TDA Slate of Officers will be presented to the NHC TDA Board of Directors on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. ITEM III: TOURISM MASTER PLAN/CEO UPDATES-Kim Hufham The final report of the Tourism Master Plan will be presented to the full board meeting this week. The CVB will move forward in direction to the strategies that the Tourism Master Plan revealed. Some of the actions will have an impact on the budget. Tourism Master Plan revealed that the CVB will need to engage the community to show the value of tourism. CVB updates: Megan Buchbinder has started as the Executive Vice President of Marketing & Strategy. She hit the ground running. John Sneed left to lead Brunswick County TDA. Molly Johnson was promoted to replace John Sneed as the Vice President of Sales & Visitors Bureau.
