REPAIRED USING CALCIUM ALUMINATE (MORTAR). THE JOINTS OF PRECAST
UNITS SHALL RECEIVE THREE (3) COATS OF MORTAR SO AS TO ACHIEVE A
SMOOTH SURFACE AT EACH JOINT. AFTER THE INTERIOR PATCHING HAS
THOROUGHLY DRIED, THE ENTIRE SURFACE OF THE STRUCTURE INTERIOR
SHALL RECEIVE SPRAY-IN-LINER WITH A TOTAL DRY FILM THICKNESS OF 8 TO 12
MILS. NICKS AND SCRATCHES SHALL BE TOUCHED UP PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE. IF
MATERIAL OTHER THAN SHERWIN WILLIAMS SEWER -COTE OR SHER-FLEX IS
PROPOSED, IT SHALL BE APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER PRIOR TO USE.
4.EXTERIOR JOINTS OF ALL PRECAST CONCRETE SHALL BE WRAPPED PER THE
SPECIFICATIONS.
5.SHERWIN WILLIAMS SEWER-COTE OR SHER-FLEX APPLIED TO THE OUTSIDE OF
ALL TONGUE AND GROOVE JOINTS. PRIOR TO BACKFILLING THE WET WELL
STRUCTURE,. THE ENTIRE SURFACE SHALL RECEIVE ONE (1) COAT. THE
MATERIAL USED FOR EXTERIOR COATING SHALL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF
CORPS OF ENGINEERS SPECIFICATION C-200. THE EXTERIOR COATING SHALL BE
APPLIED AS TO ACHIEVE A DRY FILM THICKNESS OF NOT LESS THAN 10.0 MILS.
THE EXTERIOR SURFACE SHALL BE CLEAN AND DRY PRIOR TO APPLICATION OF
THE COATING.
6.SEE SHT. PS-3.1 FOR CFPUA STANDARD DETAILS PS-C2 AND PS-C3. USE THE

INSTALLATION & OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
Installation:
A) Place ladder flat on the ground with standoffs up.
B) Place 2" (52 mm) square aluminum tube in center of rungs with the "T"
shaped slot below third rung as shown (Model A) or second rung (Model B).
C) Place stainless steel channel clamp over square aluminum tube so "U"
clamp holes line up on either side of rungs as shown.
D) Insert stainless steel "U" bolts over rung and through holes in stainless
steel channel clamp as shown.
E) Apply 10-15 foot pounds (1.3-2.1 kg./meter) of torque to all "U" bolt nuts.
F) Verify that square aluminum tube is secured to ladder rungs.
Operation:
A) To engage ladder extension, grasp aluminum post above the top stainless
steel channel clamp, and pull straight up until lower stainless steel pin is
seated.
B) Rotate aluminum post 1/4 turn in either direction to secure pin in slot as
shown in Detail.

MEASUREMENTS SPECIFIED IN THE PLANT LIST. REQUIREMENTS FORMEASUREMENTS, BRANCHING, GRADING, QUALITY, BALLING AND
BURLAPPING OF PLANTS IN THE PLANT SCHEDULE SHALL GENERALLY FOLLOW THE CODE STANDARDS CURRENTLY RECOMMENDED IN
THE AMERICAN STANDARDS FOR NURSERY STOCK. PRUNE TO SHAPE, PRUNING OUT BROKEN OR OVERLAPPING/RUBBING BRANCHES
ONLY AS NECESSARY AT TIME OF PLANTING.
1.VERIFY LOCATION OF ALL UTILITY LINES, ABOVE AND BELOW GROUND, PRIOR TO COMMENCING INSTALLATION. THE LANDSCAPE
CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE MADE TO UTILITIES THROUGH THE ACTIONS OF HIS OR HER EMPLOYEES.
2.ANALYZE ON-SITE SOIL TO ASCERTAIN PERCENTAGE OF NITROGEN, PHOSPHORUS, POTASH, SOLUBLE SALT AND ORGANIC MATTER, AND
pH VALUE PRIOR TO INSTALLING PLANT MATERIALS. LIME APPLICATION RATE AND FERTILIZER FORMULA RATE SHALL BE BASED ON
LABORATORY ANALYSIS. WRITTEN PROOF OF ANALYSIS AND APPLICATION RATES SHALL BE MAINTAINED.
3.PLANTING SOIL SHALL BE A UNIFORM MIXTURE OF 5% BY VOLUME PEAT OR OTHER APPROVED ORGANIC MATTER SUCH AS DECAYED
BARK, SAWDUST OR COMPOST MATERIAL WITH ON-SITE SOIL. SATURATE SOIL WITH WARM WATER TO TEST DRAINAGE. THE
LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ADEQUATE DRAINAGE FROM ALL PLANT PITS AND PLANT BEDS. IF DURING THE
PLANTING OPERATIONS, THE LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR DETERMINES THAT DRAINAGE CONDITIONS ARE SUCH THAT DRAIN LINES OR
OTHER DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT MEASURES ARE NECESSARY, HE OR SHE SHALL INSTALL THE NECESSARY MEASURES.
4.DELIVER FRESHLY DUG PLANT MATERIALS AFTER PREPARATIONS FOR PLANTING HAVE BEEN COMPLETED. INSTALL PLANT MATERIALS
IMMEDIATELY. PROTECT BARK, BRANCHES AND ROOT SYSTEMS DURING HANDLING. IF PLANTING IS DELAYED, PROTECT PLANT
MATERIALS FROM DAMAGE AND WATER THOROUGHLY AS NEEDED. HEEL-IN BALLED AND BURLAPPED PLANT MATERIALS AND KEEP
CONTAINER GROWN STOCK IN CONTAINER UNTIL TIME OF PLANTING.
5.DO NOT INSTALL PLANT MATERIAL WHEN AMBIENT TEMPERATURES MAY DROP BELOW 35° F (2° C) OR RISE ABOVE 90° F (32° C).DO
NOT INSTALL PLANT MATERIAL WHEN WIND VELOCITY EXCEEDS 30 mph (48k/hr).
6.PLACE PLANT VERTICAL AND ORIENT FOR BEST APPEARANCE. REMOVE SYNTHETIC CONTAINERS, BURLAP, ROPES AND WIRES FROM
ROOT BALLS. CUT AND FOLD DOWN NATURAL BURLAP MATERIAL FROM THE TOP OF THE ROOT BALL. SATURATE SOIL WITH WATER
WHEN THE PIT OF BED IS HALF FULL OF PLANTING SOIL AND AGAIN WHEN FULL.
7.AFTER PLANTING AND BEFORE APPLICATION OF MULCH, TREAT GROUND WITH RONSTAR-G OR APPROVED EQUAL.
8.ALL TREES AND SHRUBS SHALL RECEIVE SAUCERS AND MULCH. MULCH BED SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 3' FROM THE ROOT BALL OF
SHRUBS AND 5' FROM THE ROOT BALL OF TREES.PLANT BEDS SHALL BE MULCHED AS A CONTINUOUS MASS AND BED LINES SHALL HAVE
CLEAN, SHARP EDGES CUT WITH SPADE.
9.SHREDDED PINE BARK MULCH SHALL BE APPLIED TO ALL PLANTING BEDS TO A MINIMUM DEPTH OF FOUR (4) INCHES. KEEP MULCH
AWAY FROM TREE TRUNKS AND SHRUBS. SOIL SHALL NOT BE LEFT EXPOSED WITHIN ANY PLANTING PITS OR BEDS. MULCH BED SHALL
BE WEED FREE AND CONFORM TO THE SPECIFIED DEPTH AT THE TIME OF FINAL INSPECTION.
1.AFTER ACCEPTANCE AT THE TIME OF FINAL INSTALLATION INSPECTION, ALL PLANTS SHALL BE WARRANTED FOR ONE YEAR. PLANT
MATERIALS SHALL BE ALIVE AND IN SATISFACTORY GROWTH AT THE END OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD. ONE THOROUGH WEEDING AND
REPLENISHING OF MULCH (MINIMUM 2") SHALL BE REQUIRED IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO THE INSPECTION AT THE END OF THE
WARRANTY PERIOD.
2.AT THE END OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD, NEW HANOVER COUNTY STAFF WILL INSPECT THE PROJECT SITE. ANY PLANT THAT IS DEAD,
MISSING OR NOT IN SATISFACTORY GROWTH SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE AND REPLACED. REPLACEMENT PLANTS SHALL BE OF
THE SAME SIZE AND SPECIES AS ORIGINALLY SPECIFIED.

4.UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED OR NOTED, ALL WALL MOUNTED
ELECTRICAL PANELS, ENCLOSURES, AND SIMILAR EQUIPMENT
SHALL BE MOUNTED 6'-6" (MAX) FROM THE TOP OF THE PANEL TO
FINISHED FLOOR OR GRADE.
5.UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, ALL LIGHTING SWITCHES, CONTROL
SWITCHES, AND SIMILAR EQUIPMENT SHALL BE MOUNTED WITH
THEIR CENTERLINE APPROXIMATELY 4'-0" ABOVE FINISHED
FLOOR, SLAB, OR GRADE. THERMOSTATS SHALL BE MOUNTED
4'-4" ABOVE FINISHED FLOOR.
6.A SEPARATE EQUIPMENT GROUNDING CONDUCTOR SHALL BE
PROVIDED FOR EACH CIRCUIT (SEPARATE CONDUCTOR IN THE
CONDUIT). THE CONDUCTOR SHALL BE TERMINATED AT THE
PROPER DEVICE, TERMINAL, OR LUG AT THE POWER SOURCE
(MCC GROUND BUS, PANELBOARD GROUND BUS, ETC.). GROUND
CONDUCTOR SIZE SHALL BE PER THE LATEST EDITION OF THE
NEC.
7.ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS INSTALLED IN HAZARDOUS LOCATIONS
SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 5, ART.
500 OF THE LATEST EDITION OF THE NEC. CONTRACTOR SHALL
SEAL ALL CONDUITS LEAVING HAZARDOUS AREAS. WALL AND
FLOOR OPENINGS SHALL BE SEALED WITH FIREPROOF
COMPOUND.
8.ALL EQUIPMENT LOCATED IN HAZARDOUS AREAS SHALL BE
SUITABLE FOR THE CLASS, DIVISION, AND GROUP RATING OF THE
LOCATION.
9.CONDUIT HOMERUNS ARE NOT SHOWN ON DRAWINGS.
CONTRACTOR SHALL REFER TO CONDUIT AND WIRE SCHEDULE,
RISER DIAGRAMS, SINGLE LINE DIAGRAMS, AND OTHER
