This letter is being sent in response to the New Hanover County Planning & Zoning comments
received 02/18/2026 for the 7-Eleven development in Castle Hayne, NC. Below are the comments
received followed by the response of how they were addressed:
1. Comment 2.d – Show EV conduit being run to a minimum of 6 spaces.
RESPONSE: Conduit added on utility plan to 6 spaces along western front of store.
2. Comment 3.a – A NCDOT Driveway Permit is required.
RESPONSE: Noted. We have submitted to NCDOT and will supply permit when
obtained.
3. Section 5. – Landscape Notes
RESPONSE: NCDOT comments regarding sight distance generated Landscape Plan
modifications. The plan and calculations has been updated.
4. Comment 6.d – Send over a lighting plan.
RESPONSE: Photometric included in set. The architect also includes in their package for
building permits.
5. Comment 7.a – Provide signage details.
RESPONSE: Brand book has been provided. It is noted that a sign permit is separate and
will be submitted by others.
Submissions have been sent to New Hanover County Engineering for Land Disturbance
and Stormwater review separately. Submissions have been sent to NCDOT for Driveway
Permit and Utility Encroachment review separately. Submissions have been sent to NCDEQ
for Stormwater and ESC review separately.
CFPUA has conditionally approved this project.
