Vice-Chairman John Andrews called the Board Meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. in
Room 500 of the New Hanover County Government Complex.
ITEM #1 – EXCUSED ABSENCES

ITEM #2 – PUBLIC HEARING
Vice- Chairman John Andrews opened the meeting to the public on the formal
budget ordinance. As no one had signed up to speak, Vice-Chairman made a motion
to close the public hearing.

ITEM #3 - ADOPTION OF FY 2010-2011 BUDGET ORDINANCE
Vice-Chairman John Andrews called for the Board’s adoption of the formal budget
ordinance for FY 2010-2011.
[Motion made by Frank Jones, seconded by Bill Caster and unanimously
carried to adopt the formal budget ordinance for FY 2010-2011.] A copy of
the Ordinance is attached in the amount of $3,229,080.
ITEM #4 – NEW HANOVER COUNTY TDA BUDGET AMENDMENT BA#2010-
002
To reduce the amounts of projected revenues and expenditures due to the decline of
ROT collections and appropriate additional fund balance for FY 09-10. The
adoption of this budget amendment will leave a remaining TDA Fund Balance of
$221,416. The original Total Revenues/Total Expenditures = $1,660,765. New
budget totals (Revenues/Expenditures) = $1,503,269.
Motion made by Bill Caster, seconded by Scott Cromartie and unanimously
carried that Budget Amendment 2010-002, amending the annual budget
ordinance for fiscal year ending June 30, 2010 be hereby adopted.] A copy of
the Amendment is attached.
There being no further business to come before the Board, meeting adjourned at
5:45 p.m.
