Meeting was called to order by Fr. Annunziata.
Members discussed the White House Conference on Aging, feeding assistants in
nursing homes,the monitoring of adult care homes by the Division of Facility
Services, "Carelink", the role of the to to care social worker, and the Medicare
pharmacy D benefit with regard to problems encountered in signing up for the
benefit.
CAC Facility Reports were given on facility visits.
Issues noted in CAC Visitation Reports included repairs, services and amenities
provided residents, and storage issues.
Facility Administrators were responsive to addressing the issues.
Residents Rights were posted in all facilities visited
The next meeting date will be 5 April 2006 at 9:30 am.
Tentative dates for facility visitations are:
Group I—November 8 and 15
Group II—Jan . 24 and Feburary 16
