Meeting was called to order by Harvin Quidas
Members discussed National Resident Rights Week, the passage of the Older
Americans Act by the Senate, CNA superstars, and the submission of LTC resident
artist for recognition at NC R in Washington, DC.
Election of officers was held. Elections for Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary
were held. Janet Locklear was elected as Chaimian, Tom Je gs was elected as
Vice Chairman, and Mary Busbee was elected as Secretary.
Harvin Quidas presented information to the group on sensitivity training and on
mentoring New CAC members.
CAC Facility Reports of facility visits were given.
O Issues noted in CAC Visitation Reports included safety issues, food issues,
and issues with general cleanliness.
O Facility Administrators were responsive to addressing the issues.
O Residents Rights were posted in all facilities visited
The next meeting date will be on 3 January 2007 at 9:30 am.
Tentative dates for facility visitations are:
Group I—27 October and 10 November
Group ii—25 October and 8 November
