Regina&Rhonda gave an overview of their jobs as it pertains to Adult Care Homes.
Explained clarification of rules®ulations&how they follow up on complaints.
Each member gave a synopsis of their backgrounds&reasons for volunteering on this
board as a way of welcoming Melissa to the board.
Discussion(problem solve) One of Audrey's clients lost his SSI& was being evicted
from his Adult Care Home. Possible solution: motel on Market St. does long to rentals.
Tom Jennings offered to explore this place& get back to Audrey.
Home visits discussed.No major issues noted. Main discussion was change in
ownership of Glencare which is now Cedar Cove.
New Adult Care Home- New Hanover House on Independence Blvd. Expected to open
9/1/11. Has 64 bed capacity.
New Family Care Home on Cardinal Lane. Audrey to be notified when they open. 6 bed
capacity.
Group leaders to notify Audrey when future home visits set up for next quarter.
Unfortunately Karen Vincent has resigned from the board due to illness.
