10/14/193719 REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING BOARD OF HEALTH HELD IN OFFICE OF BOARD OCTOBER 14, 1937 Present: Chairman Addison Hewlett, Dr. J. C. Wessell, and Dr. H. L. Keith. Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. The Health Officer presented the monthly reports. The Health Officer presented to the Board a letter from Mr. Newton Fisher, Superintendent, James Walker Memorial Hospital, requesting payment of $1940.00 for services rendered patients in the isolation ward prior to July 1, 1937. It was decided that this matter would be taken up with the City and County Commissioners at a more opportune time. The Health Officer reported that the plumbing inspector had located quite a number of plumbing jobs which had been completed without any application or payment of fees and without having been inspected. Practically all of this work had been done by three plumbers. After a general discussion of this problem, it was moved by Dr. Wessell, seconded by Dr. Moore, that the Health Officer be instructed to proceed immediately with the enforcement of the plumbing regulations. Carried. There being no further business, the Board adjourned. Approved: Nov. 18, 1937 A. H. Elliot, Clerk
