HELD IN OFFICE OF BOARD

Present: Chairman Addison Hewlett, Mayor Thos. E. Cooper,
Mr. H.~. Roland, Dr. J. C. Wessell, Dr. W. Houston Moore, and
Dr. B.~ Morrison.
Minutes of last meeting were ~ead end approved.
The monthly reports were presented by the Health Officer.
The Health Officer reported his correspondence with Dr. Knox
regarding a possible rat-poisoning program, with the result that
the Board accepted Dr. Knox' offer to send Mr. J. M. Jarrett down
to discuss the problem with the Board.
Atter a brief discussion of the eppointment of a plumbing
inspector to succeed Mr. J. W. Griffith (deceased), it was moved
by Dr. Wessell, seconded by Dr. Morrison, that this appointment
not be made until the January meeting. Carried.
After the Health Officer had explained to the Board that
Dr. Eugene A. Bain had never been officially elected Aesistant Health
Officer, it was moved by Mr. Roland, seconded by Mayor Cooper, thst
Dr. Bein be so elected. Carried.
It was moved by Meyor Cooper, seconded by Dr. Wessell, that
Mr. Roland draw up resolutions of regret at the death of Mr. Griffith.
Carried.
It was moved by Mayor Cooper, seconded by Dr. WeEsell, that the
Health Officer make a thorough investigation of the Oleender sewage
disposal system end offer definite recommendations at the next meeting.
Carried.
There being no further business,the Board adjourned.
