~nutes of the last meeting read and approved.
Monthly reports presented.
A delegation of colored people who have been certified
for handling seafoods appeared before the Board to protest
against the unfair competition from uncertified dealers.
Mr. Haas, sanitarian of the department, appeared with
the delegation and was instructed to make his recommended
changes and present them at the next meeting.
After brief discussion, of the relationship of Fayetteville's
se"rage and our water supply. It wac moved by Mr. Roland, seconded
by Mayor Cooper, that the Health Officer go to Fayetteville
and discuss this ryroblem with the city and health officials
there.
~r. Edwards discussed with the Board the problem of getting
milk from distant supplies and the fact that this emergency
would necessitate a f,ood deal of extra traveling on his part
in making an occasional inspection of the dairies supplying
such milk. Mr. Sdwards was authorized to take such trips
when it became necessary and to present an expense account
for these trips.
