Cameron and Dr. VI. Houston Moore. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. The Health Officer presented the monthly reports. The Health Officer asked the Board I s permission to use funds in un- spent budget items to take care of any deficits in other items. dfter a brief discussion this request was denied. The Health ()fficer then asked permission to pa,y any over-spent budget items out of the funds brought forward last year. This permission was granted. The Health Officer presented a proposed budget for 1944-45. dfter a brief discussion it was moved by Dr. ~essell, seconded by Dr. koore, that the proposed budget be approved as a tentative budget (Mayor Cameron and Mr. Hewlett not voting). Mayor Cameron consists of. by these men. asked just what the five sanitary inspectors I work Dr. Wessell described generally the type of work covered 1!ayor Cameron then discussed sanitary inspection of private premises. Mayor Cameron also sugf'ested the possibility that Carolina Beach and Wrightsville Beach should contribute money for a nurse's sal~J or toward the health budeet. It was moved by Dr. Moore, seconded by Dr. Wessell that Dr. Morrison's resignation presented at a previous meeting be accepted. Carried.
