The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
The Health Officer presented the monthly reports.
The problem of considering the application of two Veterinarians was
referred to Dr. Huffman and the Health Officer.
Several proposed ordinances were presented to the Board members for
their consideration.

An ordinance prohibiting the installation of toilets, bath rooms, etc.
on floors above kitchens or storage rooms of public food-handling r
establishments, unless such rooms be equipped with concrete floors
drained to an outlet, was adopted.

An odrinance requiring public food-handling establishments in non-
sewered areas to provide water flush toilet facilities and septic tahks
was adopted to become effective after three months because of the present
scarcity of plumbing materials.

At the Health Officer I s request, the legal opinion of the City and County
Attorneys was requested on a proposed ordinance requiring all drink
stands that sold beer to provide toilet facilities (ruled out any possi-
bilityof class legislation).
A plumbing ordinance requiring the installation of relief valves on all ~
future installations of hot water apparatus was adopted.

The Health Officer requested a ruling from the City and County Attorneys
on whether or not the James Walker Memorial Hospital shall be permitted
to make and Berve ice cream and frozen desserts in view of our regulation
requiring the mixing, pasteurizing and freezing ot all ice cream and
frozen desserts on the same premises.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
