REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING BOARD OF HEALTH
HELD IN OFFICE OF BOARD
MARCH ll, 1948
Present: Mr. Addison Hewlett, Chairman, Mayor E. L. White, Dr. W.
Houston Moore, Dr. J. C. Wessell, Dr. James H. Smith and Mr. H. M.
Roland.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
The Health Officer presented the monthly reports.
The Health Officer relayed to the Board members a request from Mr.
W. L. Schutts that, if possible, they allow him a compromise settle-
ment on his rat proofing bill. The Board's reaction was that Mr. Schutts
should pay the bill as directed by court.
Mr. Edwards lead a general discussion on the butterfat contained in
chocolate milk preparation being sold here. The chief point of which
was that some of the chocolate milk is definitely below the State re-
quirements on butterfat. The ecconomic aspect of this problem was also
discussed with the Board members.
After a general discussion, it was moved by Dr. Smith, seconded by Dr.
Moore, that the Jealth Officer write the proper authorities and tell
them of our findings on the butterfat of chocolate milk preparations
and ask their advice as to what procedure should be followed.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
