The minutes of the last mEetin[ Here read and approved.
The Health Ufficer presenteu the monthly reports.
Un motion of Dr. itlessell, seconded hJ, Dr. "mith, the Health Uff'icer
was authorized to use any unexpended budGet items to take care of
any overspent budget items so lon6 as such expenditures came within
the total budget. Carried.
After a brief discussion of the problem of compulsory connection
of private se'Ner disposals into approved municipal systems, especially
at '/Iri[htsville Beach and the newly incorporated portion of the City
of'llilminE;ton, it was moved by Dr.1'lessel:j.,seconded by Dr. Moore, that
the matter be taken up with the City and County Attorneys and the At-
torney of Wrightsville Beach, and that said Attorneys be requested to
draw up and ordinance to be adopted by the Board of Health which, in
their opinion, would hold in court re~uiring prompt connection to ap-
proved systems when they became available.
AftRr a discussion of the budget proposed by the Health Ufficer for
the fiscal year 1948-1949, it was approved by the Board members.
Then being no further business, the meetinG adjourned.
