Hinutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
There was a discussion of the critical milk shortage in the Eastern
United States. The members of the Board present agreed to back a plan
that the Board used in October 1943, which is shown on Page 171 of the
Minute Book No.5.
Dr. J. N. Needham, Veterinarian, was introduced to the Board members
by Dr. Huffman. There was a brief discussion of the dog quarantine with
no action taken.
A letter of resignation from Hr. H. Hce. Biddle, Plumbing Inspector, was
read, resignation effective August 31, 1952. It was moved by Dr. Knox,
seconded by Dr. Smith, that Mr. Biddle's resignation be accepted with
regrets, and it was suggested that the Health Officer write a letter of
appreciation to Mr. Biddle for his work with this department. Carried.

A motion was made by Dr. Knox, seconded by Dr. Smith, that Mr. George
F. Potter be appointed to succeed Hr. Bitldle as Plumbing Inspector, effective
September 1, 1952. Carried.
Mr. Edwards stated to the Board that Dr. Wessell had talked with him over
the telephone, prior to the meeting, and he suggested that in view of Mr.
Biddle, who was a chief witness in the Coast Line case, having resigned
that steps be taken to nol-pros this case. The Board agreed to this pro-
cedure.
The Health Officer discussed the need for condenmation of dilapidated
buildings used as residences in the County. No definite action was re-
quested or taken on this matter.
There being no further business, the m~eting adjourned.
