The Health Officer mentioned to the Board the possibility of setting up
a mental (psychiatric) hygiene clinic in this deparment. He also mentioned
the moving of the office of the Executive Secretary of the Tuberculosis and
Health Association from the health department building to some other loca-
tion. Dr. Wessell was strongly opposed to such a move. He thinks the health
department is the proper location for such office. Dr. Knox is in favor of
having a mental hygiene clinic and stated that from personal experience he
sees a great need for such a clinic here. He also expressed the thought
that the first duty of the health department is to provide space for health
