REXlULAR MONTHLY MEEl'ING BOARD OF HEALTH

Roland and Dr. J. C. Knox.
On mot.ion by Mr. Roland, seconded by Dr. Knox, the minutes of the last
meeting were approved without being read, copies having been mailed to the
Board lIIembers. Carried.
The Health Department budget for the fiscal year 1957-1958 was presented
t.o the Board for consideration. After a general discussion of the budget;
motion was made by Dr. Knox that. the budget as presented be accepted by the
Board and sent to the appropriating authorities for their consideration and
recommend the adoption. Motion seconded by Mr. Roland and carried.
The Health Officer called to the attention of the Board the fact that during
the dog vaccil:l&tion clinics only about 45% of the est:iJllated dogs in New Hanover
County have been vaccil:l&ted and that. in the future, dogs to be vaccinated
1<<)uld have to be taken to the veterinarians. He mentioned the new type vaccine
being used and st.ated that it was optional with the veterinarian and the owner
of the dog.
Chairnan Hall informed the Board that the County Commissioners had approved
for continual use by the Insect and Rodent Control in their mosquit.o work a
building at the Airport.
There being no further business. the meeting adjourned.
