no vaccine. Dr. Knox sug~ested that an effort be made to give the vaccine to all school

Dr. Wessell made the following motion: realizing that the Consolidated Board of Health
of Wilmington and New Hanover County is the chief coordinator for preventive medicine
in this City and County, I do hereby move that this Board, in oonjunction with the New
Hanover County Board of Education, inaugurate a vigorous campaign in an effort to persuade
more students of the county school system to take the three injections of the Salk Vaccine.
We especially ask all those who will and can have their family physician give them the

by the committee. Carried.
