Smith. On motion by Dr. Knox, seconded by Dr. Smith, the minutes of the last meeting were approved "ithout reading; copies having been sent to the Board members. Carried. A letter uas r ad by Chai:nna.n Hall from Hr. H. H. Roland vmich letter .,ill be made a part of these minutes. On motion by Dr. Knox, seconded by Dr. Hare, it was moved that a resolution be prepared expressing the appreciation for the interest shown by Mr. Roland and the service rendered by him as a member of this Board for t,'mnty-four years; that a copy of this resolution be sent to l~. Roland and that a copy be spread upon the minutes of this Board. Carried. IJr. Lassiter, Public Health Engineer, requested that to the paragraph headed vIEr ~;TS under Section 42, page 67, of the Plumbing Code shall be added the following: "No fiJ.."ture, other than another sink, shall be installed above a sink so that the ,;aste .cine of the fixture is a continuation of the sink ''ffi-ste or acts as a vmt vent for the sink. ../hen one sink is installed above another the drain line shall be at least three inches in diameter up to the upper sink." On motion by Dr. Smith, seconded by Dr. Hare, it was moved that the recommendation ~ of 11r. Lasciter be accepted. Carried. Instructionc were given to advertise this change in accordance with the law. 11r. Lassiter asked permission from the Board to put into effect a motion passed by this Board at a previous meeting stating that the issuing of permits b~. this department to do plumbing in the incorporate limits of the City of Wilmington be limited to those holding a license icsued by the State Board of Pl1.mlbing and Heating Examiners qualifying that person as a /I.aster Plumber. Permission ,laS given Hr. Lassiter to put this into effect at once, and it ;laS suggested that a letter be sent to all plumbers. vMr. Lassiter again brought up the problem of this department 1 s dealings with Hr. Galog, a plumber. Mr. Lassiter mentioned numerous occasions on which Hr. Galog had not complied with the plumbing code. On motion by Dr. Knox, seconded by Dr. Smith, it was moved that the City and County Attorneys be asked to pass upon the probability of winning legal action brought against Hr. Galog in these cases and if, in their opini.on, the health department had a sound case for legal action, Hr. Galog be instructed to appear before this Board at the next regular meetine to sho., cause why his license to do plumbing in Ne'J Hanover County should not be revoked. Carried.
