01/08/1964 38J - REGULAR NONTHLY NEETING BOARD OF HEALTH HEW IN OFFICE OF BOARD Ja.nua.ry 8, 1964 Present: Chairman James N. Hall, Jr., Dr. R. Bryant Hare, Jr., Dr. James Smith, Dr. J. C. Knox and Y~yor O. O. Allsbrook llinutes of the November 6, 1963 meeting Here approved. Dr. Davis sho>{ed correspondence Hhich had taken place between himself and Hr. Bunn Frink, (Attorney for Hrs. Josephine B. Liles~ and by Common consent the Board of Health felt this was an adnrinistrative matter and that no action was necessary by the Board of Health. Dr. Knox made a motion that Iws. Imbel B. Price's classification be changed from Typist II to Accounting Clerk II, Provisional, based on a letter from the Nerit System stating that she qualified for the position (copy of letter attached to nd.nutes) and that she be placed on normal minimlUll salary range. Dr. Smith seconded the motion and the motion carried. ..- The me.tter of selling the Bulldozer, .{hich was bought from Surplus Property for $300.00 was brought up. One bid had been received for $500.00. l'myor Allsbrook suggested that maybe the city would be interested in it. Dr. Smith made a motion that \;e turn the matter of seeing if the city was interested over to Mayor Allsbrook and that if they were not, that we proceed to get rid of it in a proper fashion. The motion \;B.S seconded by Dr. Ycnox and carried. There was a general discussion of plunbing ~,tters. Dr. Smith made a motion that Nr. Hall appoint Iw. Cranford to serve on the Committee that is 'fOrking on a new pluniliing code. Mayor Allsbrook seconded the motion. Iw. Hall agreed to do this and appointed l,!i-. Cranford to serve on the Committee. The Board suggested to Iw. Cranford that he ~et the Committee to compare the local Plumb- ing Code Hith the State Plunlbing Code and if possible to adopt the State Code. Also, that we communicate with the State Bo"-rd of Health for sug['estions con- e ernjJl f! this.
