Present: Chairman J. H. Hall, Jr., Bayor O. O. Allsbrook, Dr. James Smith,
Dr. William Wagoner, Dr. J. C. lillox.
Minutes of the October 7th meetin~ were approved by motion of Dr. Wagoner,
seconded by 14ayor Allsbrook.
Present also for this meeting were ~rr. Norman A. McKenzie, Mr. Rufus Parlier,
and Hr. R. Granville Smith, who served on the committee to draw up the new
plumbing code. The proposed new code was discussed and the following modifications
were made:
Section 9, page 38: second paragraph:
No waiver of any of the sections of this code other than as set out in above
section shall be made without having submitted the facts concerning such re-
quested waiver to the Health Officer of the Consolidated Board of Health, who
shall before reaching his decision consult with a ~~ster Plumber and a Journey-
man Plumber appointed by said Board.

The entire section on Surety Bonds .vill be omitted. This is section 9, page 38
and 39. After securing more infornk~tion on Surety Bonds from other counties now
using this plan the matter will be brought up again at a future meeting.

Motion was made by Dr. Knox, seconded by Dr. Smith to accept code as presented
with the above two exceptions, contin~ent upon approval of the State Board of
Health and the State Building Codes Council and other necessary authority, and
that it be effective 30 days after approval by above authorities. Copies are
then to be made and distributed to all interested and affected parties and any
exceptions which are to be taken to this code shall be presented in writing to
this Board at least one week prior to the Board Heeting. This motion passed
unanimously.
Appreciation was expressed to ~~. Hall by Dr. Wagoner on behalf of the Board for
the excellent service rendered to the Board of Health ~mile serving as Chairman.
The Board asked that letters of appreciation be written to the Committee who had
worked on the proposed plumbing code.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
