hinutes of the July 9, 1965 meeting v[ere approved by motion of Dr. Smith,
seconded by Dr. Wagoner.
Pro.iect Head Start: It was reported that Project Head Start paid one nurse
for two months and that the three nurses who participated in the program
used less than one-third of their time. Therefore, Project Head Start paid
its own way.
Berm at vlrightsville Beach: It was reported to the Board that Noore 1 s Inlet
at Wrightsville Beach had already been closed when I~. Armstrong came to
vlilmington. A mobile lab .;ill be moved here from the State Board of Health
to make necessary studies on the sewerage situation.
Streeter Plumbing Case: It was reported that Jk. Tillery is in the process
of drawing up a warrant against I~. Jaraes Streeter, vmo installed plumbing
without a permit and also used plastic pipe in a house at Porter's Neck.

Cancer Clinic: A request was received from the State Board of Health to
transfer the clerk at the Cancer Clinic to our local staff. This would be
paid through our budget as a special clinic with a contract renewable each
year. Dr. Wagoner made the motion, seconded by Dr. Smith, that we not
enter into this agreement since this clerk is paid so much more than our
local clerks and that it would be impossible for us to supervise this clerk.

Doors for Health Department Building: The question of whether or not to put
new doors downstairs in the Health Department was discussed and it was decided
that with the building cracking it would not be a good idea to invest in these
at this time.
