MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING, July 2, 1969

Present. Mr. J. M. Hall, Jr., Chairman, Dr. James Smith, Dr. James Tidler,
Dr. Frank Reynolds, Dr. Heyward Bellamy
Minutes of the June 4 meeting were approved by motion of Dr. Reynolds, seconded
by Dr. Tidler.
Dental Program: Dr. C. A. Thomas has donated e~uipment for dental work, to be
set up in the Health Department. A dental graduate will begin work on July 15
and will work here for six weeks. This will be paid for by ESEA through our
department. E~uipment will be moved and installed before the 15th of July.
Fees for Nursing Visits: Dr. Knox advised the Board that nursing fees will go
from $5.00 to $7.00, effective July 1, 1969. A report was given of fees collected
and interest drawn from these Medicare account payments.
X-Ray: Dr. James Smith raised
the charge for X-rays to $5.00
motion that Dr. Knox look into
Dr. Smith seconded the motion.
the ~uestion as to whether or not we should increase
from the present $3.00. Dr. R~ynolds made the
cost of X-ray and see if we should raise fees.
Motion carried.

Fogging: Dr. Knox asked the opinion of the Board concerning fogging the whole
county. It was the feeling of the Board that this should be done. Dr. Bellamy
made the motion that we investigate the cost of another fogger and operation of
it and present it to the County Commissioners. Dr. Reynolds seconded the motion,
motion carried.
