MINUTES OF BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING - December 8, 1976
Present: Dr. James TidIer, Chairman, Dr. James Furr, Mr. Bruce Freeman,
Mr. George Chadwick, Mr. J. R. Reaves, Mr. R. E. Carter, Mrs.
Vivian Wright, Mrs. Roma Lee Hall, Mr. James Fox, County Attorney
and Mr. Dan Eller, County Manager
Absent: Dr. Frank Reynolds
Minutes of the November meeting were approved as presented.
Members of Board of Health Expired Terms: All members who were supposed to
rotate off the board had been contacted and all had agreed to reappointment
to the Board except Mr. Bruce Freeman. The Board voted to recommend to the
County Commissioners that reappointment be made of those agreeing to serve
another term. Mr. Freeman recommended Mr. Deotha Melvin to serve in the
place being vacated by himself. Mrs. Wright seconded the motion. Motion
carried.
Skin Testing in Schools: Dr. Finger reported on cases of positive skin tests
found in Alderman School and advised the board that the department is prepar-
ing to test all the elementary schools in January.

Septic Tank Regulations - Mr. George Golden: Mr. Frank Olive, Sanitarian
Supervisor, reported that he had checked with the zoning board to see if Mr.
Golden had room on his lot for another trailer and since it is zoned R15, he
does not have room.

Drainage Complaint _ Carolina Beach: This work has not been completed due to
the fact that necessary easements have not yet been secured.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
