the Health Department's Home Health Pro~ram has reviewed the competitive situation
that exists concerning the new agency and feels that the New Hanover County Health
Department's Home Health Program should continue as competitive as necessary to
maintain a viable Agency to meet the needs of the citizens of New Hanover County.
The Advisory Council is also working on updating the Home Health Policies. Dr.
Eakins expressed his feeling that the competition is good and moved that the Board
of Health support New Hanover County Health Department's Home Health Program, that
the Home Health Agency be vigorously competitive in providing services to Home Health
needs, and that the Board review both New Hanover County Health Department's Home
Health Program and Comprehensive Home Health Care's program once a year for compari-
