Welcome and Introductions:
The 3rd quarter meeting, held at the NHC Emergency Operations Center, was called to order at 11:00
hours starting with introductions.
Membership announcements:
New membership registration forms have been emailed.
Minutes:
A review of meeting minutes from August 9th meeting was read and approved at 11:04am.
Open Forum: 1st. Sgt. Tommy Grady gave a presentation on “Active Shooter.” He also suggested for
facilities to check out the Department of Homeland Security website for “Active Shooter” information
that would help industries prepare an Active Shooter plan. Various members had questions/comments
about “Active Shooter.”
New Business:
Alan Pytcher, NCDOT, announced the scheduled opening for I 140 and 421S around Greenfield Lake on
December 15, 2017.
Reminder that LEPC meetings will begin in January 2018 and will continue every other month.
