A regular meeting of the New Hanover County Alcoholic Beverage Control Board
was held at the General Office at 523 S. 17th St., Wilmington, N. C. on June 19, 2008 at
9:00 A. M.
Members of the Board present were:
Charles C. Wells, Chairman
Stephen E. Culbreth, Member
Richard V. Hanson, Member
Others in attendance were:
W. R. Williams, Administrator
Brad Williams, Assistant Administrator
Jerry Mannen, Attorney to the Board
Det. W. R. Ruefle, New Hanover County Sheriff's Dept.
Mr. Culbreth made a motion that the minutes of the meeting on May 15, 2008 not be
read and that they be approved. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and Chairman Wells so
ordered.
Mr. Williams presented the sales for the month of May. He reported that the sales
for the month were $2,993,700.50 and sales for the twelve-month period were
$30,778,148.95. Monthly comparisons for the same period last year show an increase of
$104,835.07 or 3.63%. Yearly sales comparisons show an increase of $1,250,626.17 or
4.24%.
Det. Ruelfle reported that for the month of April Law Enforcement conducted 9
inspections of the 265 outlets.
Mr. Culbreth made a motion to approve the preliminary drawings for the proposed
store on 17'h St. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and Chairman Wells so ordered.
Mr. Wells set the date of the next meeting for July 17, 2008.
Mr. Hanson made a motion to adjourn the regular meeting. Mr. Culbreth seconded
the motion and Chairman Wells so ordered.
