Introduction of Sheryl Kelly, Budget Officer Scott introduced Sheryl to the Committee 2. Non -County Agency Application Revisions • Require an agency organization chart • Have staff provide a summary of agency funding for previous three years and identify any issues with performance • Add application instructions including uniform font size, bullet point format for responses and exclusion of marketing and other materials in the application package • Include rubric and strategy map with application • Reword question regarding the ability to leverage New Hanover County funds • Reword question regarding the impact on the program/service if funding is reduced below the requested amount • If the funding request includes Salaries and Benefits, require an explanation of the related positions • When presenting completed applications to Committee members, the contact information should not be redacted 3. Discussion of Non -County Agency Survey • The draft survey was reviewed and several revisions were identified 4. Future Training for Agencies • Agencies should be strongly encouraged to attend the training • Training should focus more on the content of the application this year 5. FY19-20 timeline • Committee set Wednesday, October 3 as next meeting to finalize the application revisions and to discuss the application scoring process • A couple of proposed dates were change for February, 2019 • Future meeting dates will be finalized at October meeting 6. Bruce Mason's Replacement • Gwen explained that there have been no applications received as of yet for the Committee opening. The deadline for applications is October 1 with an October 15 appointment
